Linc Energy owns a 100 per cent interest in over 181,000 acres of coal exploration licences in the Alaskan Cook Inlet Basin to prospect for UCG. Over the next 24 months Linc Energy will work to understand these licences to be in a position to develop energy projects in the region.
In addition to these licences, Linc Energy has gathered information on the regional coal measures within its Cook Inlet Basin oil and gas leases, discovering a significant coal zone that appears highly suitable for UCG. With a good rapport with the State of Alaska regulators, Linc Energy will work to quickly identify optimum locations for UCG in the region.
