Clean Energy In South Africa

Exxaro Resources, South Africa’s largest coal producer and Linc Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in November to jointly evaluate certain coal tenements in South Africa and Botswana for UCG suitability.

Africa has a wealth of un-mineable coal resources, which can be exploited by UCG to increase coal resource availability. As a result, Exxaro and Linc Energy will explore this opportunity, which will enhance the African economy by monetizing previously un-mineable coal resources.
