GTL Demonstration Plant, Queensland
Linc Energy owns and operates the world’s only combined UCG to Gas to Liquids, or GTL, facility in the world, located near Chinchilla in Queensland. After establishing UCG operations at the facility in 1999, construction of the GTL demonstration plant to produce cleaner fuels from UCG syngas began in October 2007.
Construction of the GTL demonstration plant and UCG to GTL laboratory was completed in August 2008. The GTL demonstration plant was commissioned soon after and on 14 October 2008 the first liquid hydrocarbons were produced.
