Our Business

Coal

Traditional Coal

Linc Energy is active in traditional coal exploration for the development of energy projects or divestment, particularly in the Australian states of Queensland and South Australia.

Plans for Linc Energy's Teresa coal asset in the Bowen Basin in Queensland involve the development of an underground longwall mine, including the proposals for coal transport infrastructure and an Environmental Impact Statement.

The company's coal royalty from the sale of the Galilee tenement provides Linc Energy with a price per tonne of coal produced for the 20 year life of the proposed mine.

Linc Energy also has significant coal interests in Alaska and Wyoming in the United States for the application of Underground Coal Gasification - UCG.

Clean Coal

Linc Energy has a significant portfolio of global coal deposits to utilise its world leading Underground Coal Gasification, or UCG, technology for the production of cleaner energy solutions such as gas-fired electricity and diesel and aviation fuels.

Linc Energy owns the world’s only commercial UCG facility, Yerostigaz located in Uzbekistan, and has a world-class UCG demonstration facility in Queensland, Australia.
