Linc Energy was a sponsor at the annual Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) convention held in Anchorage from 20 – 22 October, 2011. Alaska Stakeholder Relations Manager Colleen Richards and US Communications Manager Maria VanderKolk staffed the newly unveiled Linc Energy booth and greeted thousands of visitors from across the vast state of Alaska.
The mission of the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) is to enhance and promote the cultural, economic and political voice of the entire Alaska Native community. Its membership includes 178 villages, 13 regional Native corporations and 12 regional non-profit and tribal consortiums that contract and run federal and state programs. The AFN annual convention is the largest representative annual gathering in the United States of any Native peoples with attendance ranging from 4,000 – 5,000.
Linc Energy continues its commitment of engaging in the communities in which it operates. The AFN convention provided a unique opportunity to introduce the company to Alaskans who will benefit from Linc Energy’s UCG and Oil and Gas exploration and production.
